Stephanie Buffaloe, President of Buffaloe Billing & Medical Solutions, began working in the medical industry as a Hospice Volunteer because of her desire to help others.  Her volunteer work gave her the opportunity to see what obstacles patients face on a daily basis.  Her next role was working for a medical practice of five physicians, learning the many tasks associated with running a medical office.   Her responsibilities including dealing with Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance, Worker Compensation, and self pay patients.   Additionally, Stephanie got involved with claims recovery for the physicians where she spent any extra time trying to recover the revenue the physicians felt was not likely to be collected.   Her efforts added a substantial amount to the income of the practice.

A local physician approached Stephanie about starting a billing company.   Her reputation and hard work paid off and in January 2001, Buffaloe Billing became a reality.  Buffaloe Billing takes pride in their compassion to patients.  They treat every patient as an individual and work with patients to give them ample opportunities to make payments to their physicians.  If it becomes clear that payment is not forthcoming and there is no effort being made to reconcile the account, Buffaloe Billing can take care of the situation without having to bring in outside collection agencies. In 2001, Buffaloe Billing was inspected and approved to be an Equifax Affiliate.   We can add collection status to the patient's credit report where it will remain for seven years unless it is paid.  This gives the patient a reminder that there is a bill that needs their attention.  We treat our clients with a helpful and compassionate attitude and will work with anyone who is willing to make an effort to pay their bill.

Buffaloe Billing has a staff of detail-oriented individuals who contribute to the company‘s success.  In addition to Stephanie are Debra Robinett, Accounts Receivables, and Bobby Buffaloe, Collections.  Stephanie also functions as the Billing and HIPPA Consultant. 

Representatives of Buffaloe Billing attend various conferences throughout the year as a vital part of our continuing education.  As the medical industry changes, we will be trained on all new medical billing procedures that are becoming increasingly more complicated due to the escalating regulations in the field.  Our goal is to provide the best service available at the lowest cost to our clients.
